AV Systems Integrator & Programmer (Lutron & Savant Specialist)

Fort Washington, PA
Full Time
Springboard Automation
Mid Level

Location: Philadelphia / NYC (Greater Region) + Travel
Compensation: $30–$44 per hour based on experience + $100 per overnight travel night
Employment Type: This is a full time, hourly, non-exempt role

The Role: Bring the System to Life
At Springboard Automation, we don’t just install gear; we orchestrate environments. We are looking for an experienced Integrator who lives and breathes Lutron HomeWorks and understands how lighting, shading, and AV control intersect to create a world-class home.

This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to "pull wire." This is for the technician who enjoys the challenge of commissioning a complex system, optimizing a high-traffic network, and ensuring that when the client touches "Evening Scene," the home responds perfectly.

Why Top-Tier Techs Join Springboard

  • The "Clean Slate" PTO Match: PTO balance match if joining from another AV company
  • No Red Tape: Fast tool approval. If it helps you do the job right, we buy it.
  • Travel Right: When we travel, we do it right. Real hotels (no motels), great team dinners, and a $100/night travel bonus on top of your hourly pay.
  • The Gear: You’ll get your own set of tools, professional apparel, and an employee purchase program at cost.
  • Full Benefits: 401k with match, medical/dental/vision, and PTO + holidays.

What You’ll Do

  • Program and commission Lutron lighting and shading systems
  • Configure and support Savant and integrated AV control systems
  • Test, optimize, and finalize complete home systems
  • Troubleshoot complex system interactions on-site and remotely
  • Work inside finished luxury homes where precision matters

What You Need
  • 2+ years programming and installing residential AV systems in private homes
  • Solid experience with Lutron HomeWorks systems required
  • Experience with Savant preferred
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Ability to think holistically across lighting, AV, and control platforms
  • Clean wiring and rack-building skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
  • Valid driver’s license
If you are strong in Lutron but growing in AV control, or vice versa, we will invest in you.

Travel Expectation
Travel is an essential function of this role because our projects take us where our clients go.
  • Primary Hubs: Projects in Philadelphia and NYC are common.
  • The Road: Overnight stays are required.
  • The Destinations: Longer-distance travel may occur, including destinations such as Miami or the Bahamas.
  • Fully Covered: All business travel beyond a normal commute is fully covered.
  • The Perks: You will receive a $100 per night overnight bonus when applicable, stay in real hotels, and enjoy team dinners on the company.
